Private Reference Service

Bland County Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource. It does not keep an official jail roster, booking file, court docket, or custody record, and it cannot confirm that someone is held, arrange a release, or submit a document for a visitor. For a current custody question, the official path is the New River Valley Regional Jail inmate resource page, which serves a regional facility rather than a Bland-only jail.

Where a person needs an existing Sheriff-held record, the published records-custodian route is separate from the jail search. A county request may also be directed through the Bland County FOIA page. Those official offices, not this private site, decide what record exists and what may lawfully be released.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use the site lawfully, respectfully, and only in a way that does not interfere with other visitors or with the public offices linked here. You may not use information or tools from the site to harm another person or to bypass a lawful process.

• Do not violate a law or another person's rights while using the site.
• Do not stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or impersonate anyone.
• Do not use site information for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or tenant-screening decisions.
• Do not seek unauthorized access to the site, its services, or a linked system.
• Do not use bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools without written permission.
• Do not disrupt, overload, damage, or prevent another person from using the site.

FCRA-Prohibited Uses

Bland County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither it nor its search partners may be used to make a decision covered by the FCRA.

• Hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decisions.
• Tenant, rental, or housing screening decisions.
• Credit eligibility, lending, or insurance-premium decisions.
• Licensing, permit, or government-program eligibility decisions.
• Any other use regulated by the FCRA or similar law.

Outside Resources

Links may lead to official jail, Sheriff, court, corrections, records-request, legal-aid, and outside search services. A link is provided for convenience, not as an endorsement. We do not control another operator's content, data practices, availability, prices, search results, or terms. Review that operator's rules before providing information or relying on a result.

Service Provided As Is

The site and its contents are provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not promise that any content, link, search response, or technical feature will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.

• Public records and custody status can change after a search.
• Official systems can be unavailable, delayed, or limited in scope.
• A third-party result may be incomplete or may not match an official record.
• No search result is an official statement by the Bland County Sheriff's Office or another agency.

Virginia's adult initial-intake-photo rule in Va. Code § 2.2-3706 has exceptions and does not promise an online image or every related record. Confirm the current status with the appropriate custodian.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bland County Busted Mugshots and its owners, contributors, and service providers are not liable for damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the site, a linked resource, or a search result. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, and punitive damages where the law permits those limits.

Your Responsibility

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bland County Busted Mugshots and its owners, contributors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

Site Intellectual Property

The site's text, design, graphics, logos, and code belong to Bland County Busted Mugshots or its content partners, unless another owner is identified. You may not copy, distribute, modify, republish, or create derivative material from them without prior written permission, except where applicable law allows otherwise.

Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms of Use at any time. A revised version takes effect when posted here, so continued use after a change means that you accept the updated terms.

Suspending Access

We may limit, suspend, or end access to the site at any time, with or without notice, including when we believe use violates these terms or creates a risk to the site or others.

Virginia Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute concerning these terms must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction within Virginia.

Severability

If a court finds one provision of these terms invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed only to the extent required. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.
